Default auto boost

i know i know ..... get a 5 speed. i have a 95 LS integra with an auto tranny. i am not wanting to be the fastest guy out there or sink a ****-load of money into my car. but i would like a nice turbo set-up. clean looking, a little more power to the car, and just a little funner to drive.

i am thinking in the range of 6-7psi, no more.

the question really is this : i have talked to hondata and a few other places. nobody seems to make fuel management for automatics. how can i get around this or does anybody know what i can use for fuel management without totally ******* with wires and making it work properly. i want to properly tune the car with what will be done.

Be careful, auto and turbo don't mix.......well actually auto TRANNY and turbo don't mix. Will be slipping like crazy.

Just giving you heads up.

just don't go to crazy on the trans like doing burnouts .. just don't beat the **** out of the trans and it should hold.. it also depends on how well your trans was taken care of before the turbo was installed..

mine holds 11psi just fine...

oh yeah only use honda atf when doing tranny fluid changes!!!

Doing the same turbo project..................93 lx and the trans will definitly be ok if you consider getting the rebuild performance kit. They run about 400...............Right now im piecing together a home made setup....U follow the research on here and U should be ok...As far as Fuel management some ppl on home made turbo ran a setup w/o a FM or injectors for that matter.............Don't let ppl tell U cant do it cuz its AT cuz it can be done and has been done........So jus follow up on yo ?'s and U'll be ok........Read my Tagline!!!

K, I know this is like comparing apples to oranges, but I have an Eclipse Auto, and it seriously ****** kicks ***. It was N/T but I decided to DOHC and turbo it, big difference. There are people out there that make torque converters and shift kits for Honda AT's. Go with it, if ya feel like spending a lil more money making it reliable.

i dont even try to do burnouts or anything stupid. only hard thing i do is from time to time punch it. but its a little slow on acceleration anyway. but outside of that, i just gradually get to my highways speeds ....... 70+ (slowly) not romp on it and then stay there. i just want a little extra kick in my car. im not trying to beat anybody.

what turbo should i run? t25?

yeah the t25 is a great turbo for the automatic..

that was my first turbo. a dsm t25, it spooled up so fast.. it did kinda fall off at higher rpm but overall it was a great turbo for an automatic.

i now run a t3

A supercharger is still shovin air into your motor. Thus there is still a significant amount of stress on the trans.

i had an auto with an sc61 and my tranny had 158k on it with no probs at 7psi as long as its not alot of power your tranny is not gonna slip. You just have to try it for yourself and see dont listen to anybody that has never had an ls auto turbo.

i give you no more than 6 months before the clutch packs and bands start to go to **** and start slipping even w/ a tranny cooler.

my auto died after 1.5 yrs of light nitrous use. glad i converted to stick and going boost now.

I have an 01 turbo accord for over a year now and I haven't had any problems. I run 6 daily and after 2nd gear I have the boost controller to turn it up to 9psi. Ohhh, don't forget to put a tranny cooler on. Helps out a lot.

I'm running a t3/t04e 57 trim .48 A/R. I like this size for my 2.3l. Nice spool times and enough power all the way to red line. But I would say something a little smaller for you. Possibly same turbo with a 50 trim. A T25 would also be great if you just want a little extra power. They are also easy to find for a much cheaper price.
