Did you get it powder coated or ceramic coated? Powder coating will come right off when you fire it up..

He's not going to put it on his car guys, right?
Well, if so, maybe he got it jet hot coated?

It looks like it's been sandblasted and left bare, but if it's powder coated, it will burn off pretty quick.

it was powder coated high temp black is what the guy told me and says on the recipt. I was not aware it would fall off but thats not my question. I want to know what thread size the hole is so after work I can go get a plug.

I just called the guy that powder coated it and he said he uses an "organic powder" that can withstand 1000 degree F temperatures. He had four other headers for some v8 cars that he powder coated also....

Your manifold is going to get hotter than 1000 degrees at times. I used 1200 degree VHT paint but it flaked off, the 1500 is holding up just fine. If you have a local bolt or fastener specialty shop, just take your manifold there and they will be able to find the size and thread pattern for your plug.

if he used an GReddy EGT gauge prob...then the hole is a 1/8" NPT with 27 thread pitch.

Usually 1/8 NPT....I think your coatings guy is confused about his products, but OK

N/A headers are usually fine with 1200 degree ceramicoat but turbos and turbo manifolds usually get treated with 2000 degree (next step from 1200 for ceramicoat)

Hard to tell from pix, if not 1/8 pipe, could be 1/4 pipe.
