I have the miller 180 also.. I really liked the inverter tig that htp has.. its 100% duty cycle 200amp and uses something like 25amps. It was very nice.. But.. I got my miller onsale for $1200 since the new model was coming out and they wanted $1900 for the htp unit. Hobart makes a pretty nice TIG welder that is fairly inexpensive.. I think $1100ish.
Thats my problem. I'm seriously thinking about the new syncro 180 or the dynasty 200dx. The 180 is great for the price but I really like the pulsing capability, portability, and flexibility of the dynasty.
I don't mean to be a bandwagoneer but outside of the miller camp is the thermal arc 185 tsw. Haven't heard a bad thing about it yet. I like mine. Similar output and features to the dynasty 200 dx. 1800 ready to tig.

Hahaha...140 lbs? That thing is a lightweight.
The Miller Dialarc that I just bought weighs 450 lbs. My buddy's Lincoln Idealarc weighs over 1000 lbs. He moves it with a forklift.
Lots of copper in the older TIG machines.

you cant evan build a cart for thatthing, I mean you could but sheeesh, thats heavy. On a different note.. what are the main advantages in going to something like the syncrowave, over my econotig? I can weld ac/dc (aluminum) I know that the circitry is diferent, its all computerized and what not...
