ATT TURBO PEEPS>>>>> WHAT EXHAUST??
Just curious as to which exhaust your guys use on your turbo apps... i have a 96-00 hatch and am having trouble finding a 3inc cat back exhaust system.... nobody seems to makeone for 96-00 3dr... everyone is telling me to get custom piping done but that seems to be around $600 for some nice mandrel bent piping and resinators not including the muffler i would have to buy.... help!

Thermal R&D makes a 3" application for that series chassis. You're not going to find a quality mandrel bent exhaust, be it custom or pre-fabbed for under 550 bucks or so for most places. (Having your big connection doing you a favor, gives a different price.) If you want power, sometimes you gotta pay the price.

Yeah, I priced out a 3" system from kteller and it was only like $450 for 3" cat, resonator, all pipe, muffler and all that other shizz

No exhaust is best for turbo, run a 3" open downpipe, or a 3" downpipe with an e-cutout to keep it quiet on the streets.

im running a 2.5 downpipe to 2.5 straight pipe all the way back no cat, res, or muffler and that thing is definetly not quiet. When i get back to working on it i think i may have to put a muffler on.

I have a DMH 3" cutout. I have a 3" downpipe, that has a Y brnch in it, and one part goes to the stock exhaust, and the other goes to the cutout, that is located right before the cat. This allows you to have a super quiet, and a non cop attracting exhaust, but when you want some power and sound, you hit the switch and it sounds like a drag car, and spools quicker, and its the best of both worlds. And think of the cutout as a throttle body. when the throttle is closed, it goes through the whole exhaust, when it is open it dumps before the system, if that helps you understand it better. Here is a link that has vids. http://www.dmhperformance.com/

KTeller has a nice setup. I really like my Thermal R&D as well.

Re: ATT TURBO PEEPS>>>>> WHAT EXHAUST?? (TeStUdO)
but according to thermal website they dont make a turbo application for civic hatchback 96-00...
as for the ecutout.. it seems like it would be a great mod but what about using it on a daily driven car?? would your turbo still suffer from not having a constant more open flow like having a 3inch full exhaust... this just seems like it would help your car hp wise but what about when its not open?? what about keeping my turbo safe...wouldnt i benifit more from having a bigger exhaust?...does anyone have this on a bseries with a turbo.....???

I think its pefect for a daily driver not only because it's quiet, but it's not like you need that extra HP all of the time, unless you drive it like a racecar all the time you won't be able to tell a huge difference, but the cutout opens in like 3 seconds, so if someone wants to race ( on the track of course), or you need that extra boost for an offramp, just hit the switch and wwaaaaaaa, you got the powa. I think a cutout is the best for a daily driver.

Re: ATT TURBO PEEPS>>>>> WHAT EXHAUST?? (alltech_hybrid)
And to mount it, I have it right before the flexpipe and cat, but I am currently in the process of having it branch of right after the first 90* off of the trubo, and have it exit out the front bumper right in front of my drivers tire, than that will clear up some clearance issues, because right now it is about and inch off the ground cause my car is low, really low, and I live in a state with shitty roads so I need the clearance, i will post pics when it gets done.
