Assembly lubes , What are you using?
What are you guys using? In the past I have just used the crap from the parts house, But the motor was always finished and started within a month or less.....but this time the build isnt going to be finished and the engine started until late spring time. Any input for good assembly lubes is appreciated...I know some old timers that like to mix stuff together, but I figured asking for some others opinions never hurts.
*edit I thought I was in the tech section still, if someone wants to move it for me, it would be appreciated

In the past i have used lithum white grease in a tube and lucas engine oil treatment. The reason i have used that is sometimes assembly lubes are not always readily avaliable.
I used to use the regular old permatex assembly lube you'd get from autozone, but lately I've been using the lucas oil assembly lube. Supposedly designed for long term storage?

I use Torco assembly lube. They have some that gets whipped and is extra tacking and drips away less for you guys that have to store your engines over time. Good luck on the build.

I'll ask my BG rep for some
Clevite bearing assembly lube is what i have used for years, and works really well. The stuff is so thick and sticky. I assembled an engine, had it sitting for well over a year on a stand in the shop. Tore it down just to add some more assembly lube on the bearings and it still had a nice film covering the bearings!
hey jeff, do you sell any of the clevite stuff....Im getting ready to buy some stuff from ya and it might just save me some time getting it from you
