-d-series - z6 block with a y8 head
I bought arps headstuds for my car the last time. I'm assuming they were z6 (only said d-series on the box) headstuds. All of them fit except for like 2-3 that we had to cut b/c they were too long. This time i was told by race eng. that i should use y8 ones (said y8 on the box). Well, I installed them tonite and all of them are too short except for the two ones that fit perfectly. Anyone have the same setup? which ones did u use?

had same problem with z6 head ona y8 block.

z6 studs were way too long

I'm going to try to reuse the old z6 ones along with the y8 ones i have now, but i dont want to use any of the cut ones. One of them destroyed my last block.

if u hybrid the two there is still some that will come out to be a little too long but not by much . maybe some high grade washers there would work? dunno but i juss went with matching the head and block so i wouldnt have that problem.
