Default ARP headstuds interchangable? B16 - B18

MAybe it is the wrong forum.

I was wondering if the b16a ArpHeadstuds can also be used on a b18c block.

I installed a B16 stud into a B18 block and messured the freestanding length 3.81inch the head is 3inch. So the nuts and washers have 0.81inch of thread.

Nuts and washers are 0.59inch. So it should work?

Any suggestions or experiences?

Thanks

NO you cannot. Well you could but then have problems afterwwards. The B18 blocks have a 7mm taller deck height than a B16A. Keep in mind a B16A is shorter BUT if you are talking about a B16B they are same deck height as a B18 block.

If you have a B18 motor use GSR/ITR studs for a VTEC motor. If it is straight LS for head and block then use B18A/B studs

I know that the b18 has a 7mm taller deck hight than a B16.
As I said I installed a B16A headstud into a B18C block and mesured the freestanding hight of the studs. From my mesurements everything seemed to work and the nut would have enough threads to beat.

I´m just searching for an answer why ARP gots two different studs when one would work also for both.

I do not see where the problem could be.

But interested in other oppinions.

Maybe this is a misunderstanding.
I just wanted to know if somebody has experiences in that case or ever tried it.

The reason why I ask is that I recieved some b16studs for my b18block.
But I think it is wiser to wait for the right studs.

Thanks
