arp headstud question(mabe a dumb one)
last year i replaced my head gasket with another oem one and some arp headstuds on my d16, small t3, at 6 psi... i installed useing info from this site and arp's install directions. car has been good until the other day i was going home( i live on top of a mountain) when i pulled in my drive way i noticed that my temp gauge was uppretty high, it didnt over heat but pretty close. i parked it and havent driven sinse. my radiator cap had a little white residue on it and my over flow was half full, i guess what im wondering is do you think i blew it again? and is it possible to just try and retorque the arps down, also i have a new radiator and thermostat.. just looking for some help.. i have searched..

white milkshake oil = blown/leaking Headgasket. you cant try to requrque, but i doubt it'll work. dont tighten it more than the specs say. HG may just be old and need to be replaced anyways. the head could possibly be warped too. have it checked b4 you replace the HG or it'll just blow again.

when i did mine i just followed ARP's recommendations. IIRC 20 lbs then 65-70 lbs.
better double check it tho.
worst case scenario if your HG isnt leaking = cracked sleeves .
