high mileage turbo b18c1 question
i have a 94 gsr stock.
it have 210 miles on the car.
i heard from lots of people it is not a good idea to turbo it.
well, so please give me opinion. should i just go for ALL MOTOR instead.
(but all motor is so damn exspensive)
plus i like turbo more, but i want to keep my AC unit
if i still going to go for turbo.
what do i need to rebuild the motor to be able to handle turbo.
i think boosting 7-8 psi is good enough for me.
the car is going to be my daily and autocross and tracking car.

Re: high mileage turbo b18c1 question (drewsointoyou)
do a compression and leakdown test. If you have no oil leaks and she runs good you will be fine. Just get a good tune and do regular maintenance and your motor should last. I would also recommend to do all major maintenance,(water pump, oil pump, timing belt. ect)

Re: high mileage turbo b18c1 question (D 2da A9)
my thoughts exactly... if its your motor running strong right now....after your maintaniance your set...stock form with a good conservative tune and moderate kit should yield some good power for your daily driver....pistons and rods and new bearings would make it last twice as long

well, pistons and rods and new bearing would cost me more then $1000 including install ? how about upgrade them ??
i also heard i should keep stock cams and so on. if i want to go for turbo.
im scared off im gonna blew my motor if i turbo it.
