Default arp headstud/head gasket

replaced my head gasket with oem one a few months back, we accidently put the h.g. on the wrong side and had to filp it around, i remember having to use an allen wrench to hand tighten the arp studs then 70-75 ft-lb on the 12mm nut that holds it down. i am leaking oil out the front of the engine and seem to have oil mixing in cylinders. does the stud have to be torqued before you put on the head and final nut on? could just be the head gasket was unproperly crushed?? (cause i want to replace it with a cometics one this time before i tune it.)

Did you torque down the upside down headgasket? If so... that could be the problem. Also, did you torque the studs in a criss cross pattern?

I actually back my studs out half a turn before I tighten the nuts. Never had any oil problems (except that time I accidentally used a LS/VTEC gasket with a VTEC motor and shot 6 quarts of oil all over my driveway).

And the nut is a 1/2" 12-point, not a 12mm.

i once put mine on upside down, tq'ed it and noticed it before i fired up the engine. flipped it over, boosted on it for a while no problems. then one day i got some smoke and a cool new scoobie sound. i took it apart and it was the ringlands that let go. headgasket was fine.
