Default ARP head stud problems

well, short block is kicking and ready to go. start putting in studs....all studs in...get head and place it on....the studs are 1" + too long.....WTF? application is d16y8 block and head. the part # on box is right. I took out the studs and compared to the stock...it's still 1"+ too long (working on getting pics up) i thought they migh of been B-sereis..but i looked at the spcifications and B-series said 11mm...i know these are 10mm....any ideas?

you're not the first person to have problems with d16y8 arp studs...i'm reluctant to even look at mine

guy i talked to said an ARP worker said they don't work with Y8 motor and he had to return his...i don't know man, hopefully someone can clarify this.

this pisses me off, then they need to clarify and say D16z6 only!!! or whatever specific applications they fit.

I think you might have the wrong studs if all 8 are that longer,i can see 2 being to long like what happened to me,i got an extra D kit at work, ill measure the length of mine when i get in tomorrow morning, with my D16Z block with D16Y head.only the two outer rear ones needed a couple of extra washers under them to make em fit.
