Sorry, but that was just the most un-technical and totally false statement I have heard in a long time. No getting defensive, but if you are going to try to make a point, be sure it's a valid one...

Your experience on the other hand is different. That is totally your preference. If Wiseco works better for you, then by all means use them. All I was saying is that the materials of pistons do not vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and I wanted to make sure people know that!!!

All the GM ProFWD cars!
Ed Bergenholtz!
Bisi
all use ARIAS!

0bd1_Kanobe had more misinformation in his first post than I have seen in a long time. ALL PISTON MANUFACTURERS USE THE SAME MATERIAL!!! It's either 4032 or 2618 depending on the application. Hell, most get their forgings from the same place as well, and their coatings... So to say that it's material is just plain ignorant, sorry. Go do your homework...

Older thread.
I'm using Arias on my H22 with zero problems - 520 whp and 12K mi. Checked ptw during build an it was right on. I heard that Arias had their own ring land spacing and that only their rings could be used? - if that is an issue.

Arias Pistos are top notch. very durable and will take alot of abuse. But just like any other piston company if not tuned properly then they will fail the same as a cp or weisco of je. Id say the only dissadvantage is they are a tad heavier than most BUT i find that to be better as its a more durable solid construction IMO. ive also run cp's and loved them. currently running je pistons because i got a slammin deal on them and they've held up just fine as well. there all good if used correctly
