Default Argh. Threw a code I can't decode.. HELP!!

I just got 9 flashes from the OBDII trouble codes, and I don't know
if it's consider 9 fast ones, or 9 slow ones...

so it's either 90 or 9.

90 = EVAP system leak detected in fuel tank/canister area
9 = Cylinder position sensor intermiitent interruption/no signal.

Anyone know how long (in seconds) is a long pulse? and short?

fast ones are fast (about 2 per second) and slow ones are nearly a second long.....you should be able to tell.

Ok.. then I got a 90.. IDEAS on this one?

Anyone ever get this code? what causes this exactly?

Fuel tank leak? Fuel canister (what is this? the filter?)

Not sure but if someone can confirm I think it could be as simple as you leaving the gas cap slightly opened, but not to sure. Just reset the ecu and seeif it returns after checking what may contribute to that code. Wish I could help more on this one.. Good luck man

Heres the lowdown:

OBD-II requires that a hole 0.040" be detected in the EVAP lines. This is to keep the gas tank fumes from escaping to the atomsphere.

How does it do this?

Well, you have a Gas Tank Pressure sensor. The ECU will close off the Purge Control Solenoid, so that fumes can NOT get to the Charcoal Canister. When this happens, pressure begins to build in the tank. The ECU is monitoring the Gas Tank Pressure sensor to see if theres a DROP in pressure, which would indicate a hole has been found. However, the gas cap is integral to this test too...so if its off, or can't hold a seal, then it either needs to be tightened or replaced.

Ever go to have emmisions done on your car...and when you get there they take the gas cap off...what do you think there checking for...that it holds pressure.
