Apexi Power FC users! Need yr input here
Hi all fellow FC users, I have been using the Apexi Power FC during my NA days and now in my FI. I've experienced an ignition retard of about 10 degs everytime i change gears or should i say lift off the throttle.
Eg. On the ignition map I should be having like 30 deg of ignition timing at 3000rpms at a specific load point. Once I lift off the throttle and back I am able to achieve only 20 deg timing at most for about 3 secs until it jumps back to the 30s region. Which means every time I change gears or lift off throttle I get sluggish performance from my car for about 3 secs. Anyone who can relate? All input greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I wish I could be of more help... But my professional tuner knew exactly how it was done. Power FC tuners really don't get into what settings are which, or self tune Turbo cars. I myself, only check a few of the timing maps once in a while.
I believe I'm only one of literally a handful of Turbo-HONDA-Power FC Users on this board. Everyone else who hasn't used the system will naturally tell you to get rid of it and get something else. (I'm just waiting for them to chime in any second now.) It's a fine system, just not easily self tunable.
And you have the boost solenoid kit that came with the system?
