Default Apexi AVC-R map sensor

Car is currently running on Crome w/ a GM 3 bar.

I've been looking into EBC's and the AVC-R caught my eye. However, I've noticed that it comes with it's own MAP sensor. Is this sensor only for use by the AVC, or can I completely replace my GM sensor with the APEXi sensor?

If you did use it, you'd have to retune with it. Most other sensors have better vaccum curves than the GM sensor, meaning partial throttle would act up.

I also like to know if I could use the map sensor that comes with the ACV-R to actually run my car on.

that Map sensor is a DENSO 3 bar map sensor used on the Greddy E-manage (Pressure sensor) as well as the Power FC. They are the same part number. From my experience with both E-manage and Power FC, I've only used that map sensor in conjunction with the STOCK map sensor. meaning that you would use BOTH to incorporate both vacuum and positive pressure. I'm not sure if it can be used independently like a GM map sensor. best bet is to call Apex'i to find out if this is indeed the case. You'll more than likely need to know the voltage signal in order to calibrate your Crome system
