APEX-i AVC-R
I got one for a great deal a while back and have not installed it on my car. The thing is that i hear that their hard to tune but are great when tuned properly. Are they really that hard to tune, and shouldn't a dyno tuner know how to work it?

Re: APEX-i AVC-R (H22CB7)
There is a guy in Columbia, SC that loves to use them and is good at it.
He is a ATS Performance on Two Notch Rd.
Not speaking from experience just heard from friends, will find out shortly though.

Re: APEX-i AVC-R (99AccordTurbo)
They are GREAT EBC's. Install it...read the book...and play with it. It can't be THAT hard to figure it out. Up one value and your boost will go up....use the gain to control spikeing/boost fall off. Give it a shot. BTW i would (and this is just so i can sleep better at night) use a 3 bar map sensor incase i spike (use it to dump mad fuel and to retard alot of timeing if you spike) i know someone who lost a GSR motor on boost cause of spikeing after he installed an avc-r. He wishes he had a 3 bar.

You'll love it. It's actually pretty easy if you ask me. Just read the book or do a search on here. There's a post that actually tells you all you really need to know.
On and 99AccordTurbo....he said AVC-R not VAFC. You're talking about Chris at ATS...he likes all types of AFC's....he's good with them to.

Re: APEX-i AVC-R (Too_Smooth)
I like my AVC-R. The best thing is learning mode. Here is a small article I did for newbies on how to use the AVC-R.

He told me that he knew how to use both of them! Because my bother has both on his turbo Eclipse.

Great controller for the price. Just takes a couple days to learn how to use. If your not going to use the features I wouldn't buy it.
