Anyone using Hondata S200 yet?
Well got my system today and had the shop burn me a chip with the new romeditor and ship it to me. I put it in and I get a check engine light. Never had that before with the older 2b. Now I am wondering if I can even drive it to a Hondata tuner shop to have it looked at. I guess it could be the chip or the burning process. Any other possibilities? The only work done on my car was replaicing the wastegate. On the bright side the car seems to drive ok. Not about to go anywhere near boost levels though.

What ECU are you using. I think i know the problem. I'm guessing you have any ecu but the p72. In this case the shop that reburnd your version 3 rom forgot to disable the knock sensor and this is generating the CEL. If this is the case then you have nothing to worry about and can drive without any problem. You just need a reburn with that sensor disabled. I'll bet you have a p28 ecu.

Sorry don't know what the code is. All I had time to do was to install the unit and put the chip in. I was told by someone that in all probability the shop just forgot to turn off the knock sensor function off when they burned the chip. I was told this wouldn't affect driveability. I will take it easy for a bit until I get a new chip sent to me. If I still get the cel, then I guess I'll have to find out what code it's throwing. The shop is about 30minutes away and I can only get there on the weekends.
This might be a stupid question but is there some easy way to check the code?

Yup....put a jumper wire in the service connector(underneath the dash near the ecu) and then turn the car in the on position(dont crank it). The check engine light will blink to let you know what code is what......a long blink is a 10 and a short blink is a 1.
Ex. Two long and three short, a 23.
You can use a paper clip as a jumper wire....thats what us ghetto techs use...
