Anyone try Dynomax mufflers?
Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these dynomax 3" mufflers that summit sells on a boosted honda? If possible maybe we can get some clips, preferably with a 3" exhaust.

I got the reaaly cheap summit 3" resonators, 18" and 24" on custom full 3" turboback, sounds great on a d16. I rate it between an NA apexi WS2 and greddy evo exhaust. No raspiness, all for $120. I'd surmise any dynomax packed mufflers would only sound better.

bump so maybe someone with a vid or soundclip will see this...
Minor Threat:
Any clips of your car with the muffler? It's a straight through design like a magnaflow correct? It says it is in the summitracing description but those can be wrong sometimes...

Why don't you run a Vibrant muffler?
Much better, and the flat black ones are only like $100.

You say much better, do you have any experience with the dynomax?
I dont have anything against the vibrant, never seen one myself, but im just trying to explore all the options out there. Both of the turbo hondas ive dealt with in the past used magnaflows, and they were great mufflers, but id like to hear about something different.
The dynomax in the first link of post is only 70 bucks too.

I say better because the Vibrant sounds better, and flows just as well. Look around on Pro Street's site, you can find Vibrant mufflers like the Dynomax you're talking about for $60-70. I've used just about every muffler out there on any one of my many cars I've built over the years.

Re: (beak)
can u describe what the dynomax and the vibrant sound like, just trying to get an idea. Also what is the black finish on the vibrant consist of? Painted, powdercoat, etc... is it durable? Ive alwasy painted the mufflers on my car flat black anyway its cool that those are flat black already...
O and thanks for the info, anyone else running the dynomax, still looking for more opinions.

I hate describing sounds as everyone things one thing sounds different than someone else. The Dynomax to me sounds "cheap". The vibrant sounds more refined and race car like. I'm not sure what the flat black coating is on the vibrant, but it does not come off.
