ANYONE SEE THE NEW "GT KILLERS " from TURBONETICS.???
We are Major Distubutor for turbonetics but cant see to find any anwers right now since everyone is at SEMA that can answer the questions.
People have been calling all week for the pricing and availbitly.. if you know someone at sema or took a pic of this turbo please post it..?
Heard Garrett engineers were taking pics and in the turbonetics booth. someone should have pics to post.

I'm the only distributor direct with Turbonetics up in my neck of the woods and I was talking with them all week about the turbochargers. From what I understand, they have come up with a new wheel for turbo charging. They didn't have alot of information for me but they aren't available yet and won't be till 2007....
What I do know though, is the turbochargers will still come with the 1 year warranty they have with all there turbochargers and also you can take any of the older turbochargers and adapt the new wheels on them. I asked them if it was still efficient to do it this way and I was told if it was ball bearing it would be.
Anyhow... Thats all I know so far. I want pictures too!

from what i geard GARRETT engineers actually teamed up and helped them build these turbos, seeing is they are a kelly aerospace engineering company, im sure they will outsource work if needed. also seeing is turbonetics has been having major issues with cartridge seals, and compressor oil leaks

This was all i could dig up from forums on the....GT-K....K for killer i guess.
Musings
" Turbonetics patented Angular Contact Ceramic Ball Bearing center section. Ceramic coated turbine housing and Black-Chrome Perma-Coating applied to compressor housing that has Map Enhancement Porting which is supposed allow the compressor to extend max efficiency across a broader range and provide additional airflow at high boost levels."
"absolutely NO options of different a/r's on the hot sides. no options of wastegated, non wastegated, vband flange, 4 bolt flange, none of that good stuff. what you they make is what you get. while this may change in the future, as of the release this is what they plan from what i understand. they say it will have a something along the lines of twin thrust ceramic ball bearings, and from what i see, no water cooled options. there will be ceramic coating on the hot side and bearing housing standard, and i guess the one option is a "map enhancing port job" on the compressor."

I've got several pics on my SEMA disc, I'll host some. Actually, I know the Turbonetics people at K. Aerospace here in AL. He told me these new turbos are supposed to be great.

There's also an adaptor piece available that fits in the holes (so I was told)
