I was just curious if anyone on this board was running open downpipe on thier daily driver. Reason I ask is a couple days ago my flex pipe broke that Polk Performance made for me. So until I get the time to take my car so someone can make me a new one I just decided to run open DP. Sure it is very loud but man oh man I love to hear the turbo spool . So what is it, anyone else doing it if so how long and how do you like it?

I wouldnt say my daily driver, but my streetcar. Open downpipe rules. A good friend of mine has been doing it with his daily driver for 7 months now, has over 10k miles without an exhaust.

My roomate ran open DP for the first couple of days after his insall and man is it loud!! Talk about a seat massage at low rpms!! LOL

Isn't Allen running open downpipe essentially...? Scott is running the same thing too right...? You should be fine, but remember with open downpipe, the car runs much leaner do to more exhaust being able to escape...

OT: How's Iggy's car running... Dyno day this Sat at VSV... $50 for three pulls w/o wideband, $75 for three pulls w/ wideband...

im currently running open DP because i havent had time to slap my test pipe back on. the ride and noise is decent, just gotta crank up the radio a little more. But the damn fumes gives me a ******* headache!

I drove around open DP for awhile. Its fun at first and sounds crazy. but then when u have to make a 50 minute drive on the highway and u get out deaf from the noise- dizzy from exhaust fumes- and u smell like it too... it kinda sucks.

ill be at the dyno day. Look for me by the pizza boxes. Still recovering from fat camp felix

I did it for a day. too loud and smelly. I actually went back to a stock eh2 si exhaust and didn't miss my extra 10 or whatever horsepower

I'm running open DP for now.....................People always ask me "why does your car sound like that". My mom asked me when she rode with me "Befroe you put your turbo on did you look to see if it would fit the pipes, that sounds horrible Antwaine".....I just laughed. I get tired of turning my radio up up louder to hear it and my brother can't usually hear me if he's in th passanger seat.

I ran open DP for like 3 months before I got my thermal 3"

man I miss it, cept when a garland cop followed me for 10 miles and I was trying to stay as quiet as possible, this was without updated inspection/registration so that was the only bad part.

Im probably gonna take the exhaust off for a while once I get the holes in the floor from my auto tranny welded up so I don't completely smell like gas.

winter is comming so cold air + crazy spool + hard tires = more fun
