Anyone know of a good plumback BOV for 300whp?
I'm looking for a decent plumback bov. I used to get all sorts of attention with my hks ssv and my turboxs rfl. I really want something that most people won't recognize as turboed, and that bov sound is a dead giveaway. I saw an add in some euro magazine about this bov that looked like the turboxs rfl but u could switch it from blowing off to the atmosphere to plumbing back to the intake. Im not sure if anyone in the states sells something like that though.

is that going to take any power away over an aftermarket one? My buddies got a stock 2nd gen one.

There is locally guy here with talon that ran 24 psi of boost on stock 1g dsm bov for a while and now he is going to run more boost so he switched to tial. The 2g dsm bov sucks big time so i wouldnt want to run that one although it will work up to like 10-11psi.

dont u have to "crush" the 1st gen ones to get them to hold that much boost. I guess i could get one temp. until i can find a good deal on this steath one. The plumback only one was around $188 on those sites i believe

Turbo XS H -34. cheap and effective.
the forge is nice too, i have used them on many VW/Audi 1.8ts and never had a problem. While a dsm valve might hold the ammount of boost you want to run i highly doubt it would flow enough volume due to the valve seat opening being about the size of a nickle.

My 1gen DSM BOV has a valve that is about 2" across.
They need to be crushed to use them past 10 PSI or so, but they are still the best bang-for-the-buck BOV out there.

You mean 2cm i think. For reference the outlet (facing up in the pic) fits a 1" (24.5mm) ID hose if i remember correctly. A nickle measures 21mm which looks to be just about exactly what this is. Either way the valve seat opening is tiny and all the air you are trying to move has to go through there.

Anyone have any personal experience with this? With my RFL i used to get compressure surge when i left of the gas after light throttle. The only way i could get it to not do that was to have it revved up to a certain point and let off the gas fast.

forge is a decent unit..DO NOT BUY THE GFB units..they are total trash, trust me. Forge is a piston type plumback and they also have a race version which is a diaphram type.

Do you have anything to back this up? In the Subaru community GoFastBits are about as big as bandwagon as precision turbo's are here. My buddy has one and it's the most unique sounding blow off I have ever heard.
