i have a friend that had one on his civic and he had it polished and fixed the bent fins,anyhow he bought a rev-hard kit and was selling the starion ic at a good price,anyone know if this thing would be suffient for a t4/t3 turbo?

 

A friend of mine has a Starion IC and another budy with an Eclipse GST also has one. They can supposedly handle around 300-330 hp.

 

well i read in another forum a little while ago that these ic's arent that great. alot of this stuff is hearsay so i dont know...

 

Ya, lots of it is hearsay. But if you would look at the size of the intercooler, it should be sufficient for around 300hp.. that's assuming the core is in good condition and has had a leak/pressure test. One of those guys i mentioned had his tested up to 25psi of pressure with no leaks.

This is whats on my car. FWIW, at 12psi on hot days the "after intercooler/TB" pipes are almost "room" temperature, while the before intercooler pipes are so hot you can';t touch them. this is on a Tdo4-15C (same as greddy honda kit) though, not a T3/T4. Shouldn't be much a difference unless your oosting alot higher though since the larger turbo actually would create cooler air at the same boost.

I have one. I just need the turbo, downpipe, FMU, charge pipes, BOV, and fuel pump. Another words, I have that and my boost gauge, and thats it for my do-it-yourself turbo kit. Sure looks nice sitting here in my room though..........I will be boosting soon!!!!
