i just painted my intercooler the other day but i can't put my turbo stuff on till i get my lovefab sst manifold and 3in. downpipe in
i used a light coat of duplicolor black enamel and then a light coat of clear

You can have it annodized black, since its aluminum.
Swain coatings also has a thermal layer that is black, that retains the thermal effeciency of the intercooler.

I've had 7 turbo cars over the course of my life and all of them have had black intercoolers. As a matter of fact, my old H-T name was "Black FMIC". BTW, for what ever reason, a lot of people think that black paint will inhibit the cooling efficienct of the intercooler, and guess what..they're right!. Thick paint (like a gloss coated paint) on my GN's intercooler did show higher intake temps, but black primer didn't affect the intercooler at all. Go fig. I dunno how powder coating will affect it though...
