Default Anyone good at guessing the trim?

Ok, I know its a stage 3 and its got a .63 ar, but I cant figure out the damn trim. There is no numbers on the wheel either. Also, there is a D infront of where it says turbonetics, any idea what that is as well? Just hoping I come across someone that has the same setup that knows what it is, thanks!

How much does the inlet taper? Remove the compressor housing and measure the major and minor diameters of the blade. With those measurements I can tell you the trim. It looks like a 57 trim to me but I can tell you definitely after you give me the diameter digits...

take a pic of the clamps on the backplate. B's and E's use different backplate clamps.

definitely a TO4B because B's have the short clamps while the E's have the long ones. Remove the 6 bolts and measure the small and large diameters of the compressor blade and then I can tell you the blade trim.

You first have to determine if it is a B or an E and then you just measure the major and minor diameters of the blades. With this info trim levels can be determined.

Count the compressor blades. Every t04b I have ever seen had 7 compressor blades, and every t04e has 6.

The actually terminology is 6/7 main blades and 6/7 splitter blades so Dustins comment was a lil' more correct.

Anyways... B's usually have the 7/14 setup with the E's having the 6/12. The Higher number of blades can not flow as much air as the smaller number but they spool faster.

How do you calculate a/r (aspect ratio)?

With that in mind is there a different number of blades in the turbine used on the greddy kit then the one used in the drag kit?

Greddy uses Mitsubishi turbos while Drag,RH and F-MAX use GarretT turbos. Mitsu and Garrett turbos are like apples and oranges...

Earl... Here is a page that I made a while back. I've been reading up AR.'s a little more and some people say AR. is the area of the housing divided by the outlet of the housing while others say that it is the diameter of the housing divided by the outlet of the housing. Pretty much it's a correlation between the outlet diameter and the area/daimeter of the housing. I'll try to dig up and scan the Japanese articles that I read a while back.
