Are they plastic? Looks like they need to be glued on.

You don't have to glue anything. All you do is place it between the gauge and the surface you are mounting the gauge to and tighten from the back. Now instead of the gauge rim sitting directly on your dash etc... it will sit on this adapter at an angle.

ahh, sweet, that's what i was hoping for, you just cut the mountbraket to end up flush against the backside of the surface i guess

Yep, I'm using three of those to angle the gauges mounted in my audio console. It helps reduce paralax error

Pardon the messy photo, I'm doing some re-wiring changes. About a year ago I had Autometers mounted in the same way.

Just to clear up any confusion, they aren't meant to be used with the push in style mounting, like the autometer pillar pods. They are meant to work with the screw on brackets that hold the gauge in by clamping to the back of the gauge mounting surface.

When I was first doing my gauge setup in my car last year, I used PVC piping from Home Depot to make something similar to that. Just angle cut it, then sprayed the white tubing black.

Heheh, I've been thinking about doing that, too. Right now I have it velcro'd to the dash above the clock.

Haha... I don't have to have one of those... I have a Bel 980 and always says "Gay-man... detected".

(For those of you actually wondering, yes, I know it's saying "K-band"

Im using those angle rings. You need to cut the aluminum brackets that hold the meter in. One leg will need to be much shorter than the other.

Also you may have to grind the edges of your panel, as the angled meters require an 'oval-ish' hole instead of round.
