Benson sleeves are totally kick ***. I've had mine for like 3 years. I have my second set of pistons in them and they are still holding up strong and are perfect. I havent had one problem with them. Benson hiself is an awesome guy...i called up there to ask a question...i left a message.....and dan besnson personally called me back on the number i gave him. for great sleeves & for excellent customer service

How does the price compare to other sleeving companies such as AEBS or GE?
I got a quote from a local engine company and they wanted as much for the labor to install the sleeves as Benson wants for parts AND labor. Plus the quality of some local "domestic" shop is iffy at best.

Benson sleeves are a tad bit more than Ge a lil less than aebs but for the good product and great service it's worth every bit.

Benson had some problems years ago when he was letting employees do the work. From what Earl said he fired them and is now doing all the work himself I know a couple people that are having Earl and Mr Benson resleeve their blocks right now.

earl laskey and dan benson are 2 awsome guys. i have NEVER herd a complaint about any of the services they provide . i bought my pistons and rods from earl and he was a good person to deal with. i sent my block to aebs cause thats what my shop recomended , but if they wouldnt have said anything , i would have gone the benson route no doubt!
aebs and benson sleeves are the best on the market.

So are you sleeving the H22A4 block or the A1 block? I know the A1 is closed deck, but I was told that they can just use a plasma cutter to remove the decking. Just curious...
I am planning on buying a spare H22 block to send away to Earl for sleeving. Sounds like Benson is the way to go after reading some archived threads. But I just don't know which H22 block to go with since I am already running the H22A1 complete swap. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had a Benson's block for over four years. The only reason why I have to rebuild it was the rings were going bad. I'm mostly at fault, often neglecting the car by running it extremely rich at long periods of time. Other than that, the sleeves are still perfect.

Leave the deck closed and it can still be sleeved like that. Works great.

I had my block sleeved by Earl and Benson, I can't be happier with the results or customer service. I was completely blown away by the speed of the turn-around. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone and would use the again if I need another block sleeved. Larry

Mine have held up great. Only thing I didnt like too much was the sealer they used started peeling off and needs to be cut off so it doesnt get caught up in your block. Other than that great service from both benson and earl
