its gonna be hard to collect everyone's block and probably take longer to sleeve the whole group. if it can be done then i would be in.

DO-ABLE..YES
THe thing is GE has stopped doing GBs unless you have already done a GB through them before. Immortal was going to do another GB but then he went and bought a Supra.

they arent doing group buys anymore for new people, so ..
those who have done group buys (like me) already can still get the groupbuy price.

Re: Anyone doing a Golden Eagle Groupbuy? (LEON)
I have the GB through Golden Eagle as well. If everyone is serious about this, I will host one, but there are a few rules to follow when doing this.
1. I will be the only contact for questions or concerns on the blocks. (This means if you have changed your mind, or need something explained about the block, you contact me, and I contact GE.)
2. All blocks will be shipped to me, and then I will ship them to GE. Shipping from here (VA) to there (CA) with 6 blocks is about $35 each.
3. All money will be paid up front, and if using Paypal a 3% fee is added (Paypal's thing, not mine.
If everyone agrees that all these rules can be met, I will post prices and get the ball rolling. This GB is only for Honda-Tech Members. I look forward to helping everyone out. Also, if you need cam gears, intake manifolds (Turbo application only, but a N/A one is on the way!), scatter shields, or any product GE sells, I can get good prices on that stuff too.
EDIT: The reason for these rules are the same reasons the groupbuys don't happen anymore. These are the rules that must be followed as per GE.

Re: Anyone doing a Golden Eagle Groupbuy? (apexii)
Ok, I see a big interest in this GB. I will post the prices this afternoon when I get home from work. A couple of other thing to add.
All blocks will be stripped down completely. (oil pan studs where possible)
Boxes that the blocks will be shipped in are 20X20X20 and packing peanuts is the prefered method of packing material.
A letter will be enclosed in the box that states everything you want done to the block, I will email everyone that gets in on this a standard form.
Pretty simple stuff. It looks like we only need a few more to get this going.

Re: Anyone doing a Golden Eagle Groupbuy? (civictom)
Ok everyone, here are your official prices:
Resleeve, Jet-wash, Decking, and pressure test up to 65 psi,(If you would like a copper O-Ring, It is free, but you must use a STOCK headgasket!!)
B-series - $585 (+$17.50, it is a set tax fee from Golden Eagle)
H-series - $644 (+$17.50, it is a set tax fee from Golden Eagle)
If you would like your block Bored and Honed, (All 4 pistons must be included, each cylinder is bored and honed to match the piston. All pistons come back numbered for the cylinder. The sleeves are not stock size, you will have to get them bored and honed no matter what.)
Bore and Hone - $125
Intake manifold, (This is a Turbo only application, it costs more than Venom, but out performs by far! This is the former STR manifold, GE developed the manifold, did all the R & D, and sold the rights to sell it, to STR. STR is out of business, so Golden Eagle has started taking in-house orders and it looks awesome!)
Intake Manifold - $700
Arais pistons, (This is a pistons and ring set, any size, any application)
Arais Pistons - $500
Scatter Shield, (Awesome sheild, universal fit, a must if faster than 11.99)
Scatter Sheild - $160
I can also get Cam gears if there is an interest. Alll prices listed are the lowest GE will go. I am not trying to make one dime on this. I am looking to get everyone that wants to be in by next Friday (26 APR 02). If you can't make this date, I will probably host another buy in a couple of months. I have three definites, let me know. Oh, if sleeves are required for an other than Honda application, IM me and I will check on those.
EDIT: Turn around time, It takes a month now to get the sleeves, (Give or take a few weeks) and one week to ship there and one week back. Now a Bore and Hone job adds a week. The reason for the increased turn around time is how busy GE is right now. This is another reason for me being the sole contact to them. The less they have to answer the phone, the more time they have to work.
