jc whitney has this little valve you can buy. so when you want an open exhaust you just pull the lever and you have you **** loud as hell.

i am running an open waste gate with 2.5 inch exhaust all the way back except for the stock cat, no muffler or tip just 2.5 and it is actually quiet untill my waste gate opens up! and i will be getting rid of the cat as soon and i can afford a good fuel computer.

I bought one of those. The quality looked really crappy and I decided not to use it. I'm sure I can make it work but it didn't really seem worth the effort.

before i get my new motor i went to the local muffler shop and said i want you to put a flange in right at the muffler, so we did, a 2 bolt flange so i can jst crawl under there and unbolt it it take about 5 mintes to do it......i did it on the N/A motor so im not sure about F/I yet, since i dont have the new motor yet but it was sure fun as hell, loud like you couldnt beleive, sounded liek a N/A drag car....pretty fun, but i would get arrested if i left it that way

I'm considering using an electric one. They make some that have a stepper motor attached to what looks like a throttle-body valve at the end of the cuti-out. Push of a button and you have an open downpipe.
