anybody running a Hondata computer
We are building a low e.t daily driven turbo 88-91 civic. I am wondering If you have used this, and what can you tell me about it. I have done some looking around their web site and it looks as if I may need stage 3 with the boost option or maybe a stage 4 with boost. I dont want too many add-on systems to clutter the car up. Thanks

If i'm not mistaken doesn't Hondata only work with DOHC VTEC computers? You should look into http://www.zdyne.com . I know that they work with D series computers (If the car just has a stock motor). Here are links to two guys that are using the Zdyne and 450cc injectors on there daily drivers: http://www.dmoore.com/crx/turbo.htm , http://thenew.gamesbbs.com/~turbosi/
I have talked to them and they both seem to like the units.

hello, you are in ricmond. it looks like your nearest dealer is steve sakai of SGT racing, drop him a line at steve@sgt-racing.com and im sure he can answer all of your questions. i bought my hondata through him and i am more than pleased. if you want to do the tuning yourself you will need a stage 4...if not a stage 3 will work well. to save money you could even step down to the stage 2 which doesnt include launch control or full throttle shifting like the stage 3.

I agree with TurboR616 - I too got my Hondata through SGT racing. I have only had it a little while and I love it. Make sure you ask for Steve - he is their Hondata expert.
Go to the Hondata website to find out their contact info.

I have a stage 4 JDM p72! The ECU is awesome but I can't finish my intial tuning until I get my new o2 sensor installed. The stage 4 w/burner and emulation gives you the ability to make on the fly changes to maps and the ability to use a lambda meter(Motec wide band o2) was enabled with the latest software upgrade (Ver 2.4).
