Default Anybody running Golden Eagle Parts?

Are any of you guys running Golden Eagle parts? I'm thinking about getting the Intake Manifold & Fuel rail for my boosted JDM B16A but from the photos of the manifold, it looks like there are no mounts for the vacuum lines. Do I have to modify it to work? Also wondering about the throttle cable bracket. I still use my SOHC cable, but will i be able to use it with this Manifold? What Bracket can I use? A lot of questions at one time, hope somebody can help.

What is your power goal?

The GE manifold might not be the best option depending on your goal. The same can be said for the GE fuel rail; though the rail isn't too expensive and does look nice.

Keep things simple and spend money where it's most beneficial.

The vacuum ports are on the bottom of the manifold if memory serves correctly.

The GE manifold is overkill.

As long as the engine is in good running condition it can be boosted as is.

Although your power goals are a bit on the low side for the Golden Eagle manifold it will still be beneficial if you plan on turn up the power later down the line.

They do have ports on the back side to be used for vacuum sources and also a port for a factory idle air control valve to bolt to. As for throttle body and bracket, I would recommend using a factory GSR. This bracket and cable will mount directly to an aftermarket or factory GSR throttle body, rather than the intake manifold. If you are still interested in a Golden Eagle manifold or fuel rail, hit me up and I will hook you up.

There is definitely a lot to be said about planning for now yet being mindful for the future but the GE manifold is far too large for 250WHP. It's probably not even applicable for 350WHP.

OP, consult with your tuner regarding the GE manifold.

Thanks for the info guys. Would you just go with a Skunk2 TB/Intake Manifold/Fuel Rail setup instead?

You don't even need a fuel rail or any of that for 250 really... people make that on 100% stock motors without issue

And you definitely don't need a GE manifold

blox v3 is what im using, cheapest alternative to the more expensive manifolds, and its a direct clone of the skunk2 manifold.

just use your oem parts. no need to spend the money on any of that at this point.

The common theme here is that OEM parts are more than enough to support your power goal.

Remember, keep it simple.

Not for 250WHP. You don't even need those upgrades for 350WHP. Do they help? Yes, but the power output per dollar spent probably isn't worth the upgrades.

these guys are right. save your money & keep it stock. i made 360whp on a completely stock b16. only mods were ARP head studs and new HG. & when turned it up and made 550whp i still was only using a stock ITR intake manifold and TB.

360WHP?! Holyyy. What SHOULD I spend my money on, in terms of performance upgrades to my B16 then?

What are your overall goals for the car?

And 350hp isn't a lot...

Haha sorry, Im just not used to those numbers yet. You guys make 250WHP sound like its nothing. So maybe I should up my HP goal. Id be thrilled to hit 300+, if possible. With boost. Recommendations?

Sounds like you're new to turbos and power, start with 250 and learn how to drive.
In the mean time focus on other things like suspension, braking, etc,
No point in having a fast car if it handles like **** and won't stop Lol

If you're just going with OEM, why get a new head gasket at all? Or is that under the assumption the car has 100K+ miles?

people like to run head studs at a minimum on stock setups like these. once that head comes off you need a new head gasket anyway.

Head gaskets aren't reusable.

The GE manifold is a great manifold; but like many have said, it is overkill for what you are trying to achieve. If you were setting up a basic motor now and were planning to transfer these parts over to a much higher HP oriented build in the future; then go for it...but at 250whp on a B series, I wouldnt even change the intake manifold.

The GE throttle cable bracket is simple, it will allow you to run your cable below the runners (under the manifold).Wee've done this a few different ways with and withou the GE bracket.
