ANYBODY interested in a speed based PROFEC B EBC
I haven't started with my turbo project yet. My manifold is on the way but I think my project will not be finished in a while. So I have lotsa time to think about my set up.
Last Friday in a friends tuning shop, a turboed B16A was being troubleshooted to what seemed like a misfiring problem. The culprit was the vortech pump that was malfunctioning because of loose connetors. When the problem was fixed, I could hear chirps when full boost comes on and even in second gear. That is with only 8 psi. but on third gear, it sounded like it ould use some more boost.
So HERE's what I thought.
I am planning on making a simple controller for the Profec B that will sense actual speed so that it will switch from low to high boost. if it works maybe I could design something that will give a low medium and high boost setting.
Hopefully my idea works and I will share them to you guys.
so that others can share ideas, here's my plan. i am planning to make a pulse trigger switching device that will be activated bya certain voltage signal coming from the VSS.

Yes, it's gonna be heap. We might even be able to get it at any local electronics shop. Let you guys know what happens next. Price might not even go over $10.
Im in...that sounds too good to be true...under $10??? If you're running a afc setup, I think that the users would run into problems b/c of the setttings running rich in low boost and possibly lean in high boost..Unless they tune in between somewhere which would make them lose some power and driveablility at both settings..Any input on this theory?
