Default any truth to the vafc hack using sensor type 14?

i was reading a while back, someone was saying you can use a sensor type 14 in and a 06 out,to get your settings to start at 0 while using the hack.if i misunderstood then clue me in.im installing a custom turbo set up on a buddies crx, using a t25 from a 95 talon and 450 dsm's.

ive never done the hack before and was planning on doing it on this car to see if i want to do it to mine or not.

thinking that there might be this "new" way,id like to get some input on it before i start.
