Any regrets on boosting a honda?
I have most of my turbo parts now but lately I've been thinking whether it would be wise to go ahead and boost it or just sell it all. Anyone think it would've been better to buy a factory turbo car instead, after you've boosted your honda? I've been thinking of selling my teg and getting a 2g dsm or mkIII supra or an sr20det'd 240sx . The thing is if I boost my teg, I will only have it for a year and a half or so until I plan to enlist in the military.
Would it be worth it to boost for that short time? I'm thinking I would have a hard time selling it once I put it back to stock from turbo, since there would be permanent indications of some significant mods (shaved block, cut bumper support,...) Anyone here in the same situation at one point? Thanks for any input or advice guys

The only regret I ever had with my Honda/Acura........was leaving them in 97 to try a DSM Turbo, the car was a Lemon, the entire year was a frustration, and I got my money back and went right back to Acura for a new GSR.
I have no regrets for any mods I have done.
I have put 40K+ miles turbocharged on her.
65K on the clock.

tough situation...either way boost is
but when you see a factory car turbo most people are like
and when they see a honda turboed they are like
so it just depends what you want man...

yeah if I originally bought the kit believing I would keep the car for 3-4 more years, but recent events have led to me believing that won't be the case. I do have an eye on this local 1991 BMW M5 though. What do you guys think of an e34 m5 hehe?

I regret trying to forecast what my finished setup would look like and then buying parts piece by piece. So far I've had to get rid of an MSD 6A(replaced with a dig 6), an intake manifold, and a direct port kit(downgrading to a single fogger setup). I pretty much have fuel, spark, and engine management covered as of today. I figure it will be best to just keep putting money into the bank until I can afford a full build on either the bottom or top end.

e34 m5. nice car. big and heavy though...you won't be ducking between cars and changing lanes like micheal S. (one of the unfortunate sideeffects of driving a well tuned Honda)...its more of a really fast estate cruiser that sounds awesome. good resale too.

What he said.
yeah, I've noticed that people generally don't give a **** about other factory turbo cars but when they see a turbo honda they just about **** a brick. kinda funny though.

Ditto
DO YOUR RESEARCH!
I thought I did my research for a year, but I obviously did not do enough.

i regret not doing it sooner. but it also makes me supre paranoid about my car. i like to drive it more and more but i just do not like parking it anywhere.
also boost is so addicting. i just want more and more but my wallet says no.

i regret not turboing earlier.. also kinda regret buying a kit instead of putting together one...
back then didn't know better... intake and a header... man what a waste of money.. a whole 8 hp.. for 500 dollars when i could have bought a nice turbo manifold or somethin..

I regret it because I am now TOTALLY ADDICTED. I'll never be able to drive a n/a car again. There are some n/a's out there that I would drive, but I won't pay the $$$ for them. I bought my 98 ITR for $18.5K when it only had 11K miles on it. I've added a jrsc kit (BTC, MAP controller, fuel pump, and 8 psi stepper pulley) and i/h/e. Bought most of the parts used through the H-T classifieds. It's not the baddest car on the road, but you can't beat it for the price.
