Any interest in an AEM EMS group buy?
We all know it is harder to tune than Hondata and not for the casual user, but who is interested in a GB on the EMS?
Reply if you'd be willing to participate.
IM me for the price.

The PNP and Race units are the same, PNP just has a connector that matches your stock wiring harness. The firmware is flash upgradable, so if there are any issues you can just reflash it.

OK here's a question - if you bought a PnP and later decided you wanted something like a Supra or WRX, could you simply rewire it and apply the AEM system to your new car? Basically, does the PnP have the FULL functionality of the Race version? And if so, why the hell does the "race" unit cost more?
I'm so confused.
But if I can use the AEM ems on something other than my Honda when I move on, I would definitely be interested in a GB. That would instantly make it a better value than Hondata for me.

The PNP system physically has an AMP plug on it that matches your wiring harness. You can only plug it into your car. If you wanted to wire such a system to say a WRX, you would need to get an OEM honda wiring harness that matches teh ECU and wire that directly to the car or make an adapter harness. (You might be limited to the inputs and outputs that honda wiring allows).
The "Race" version is almost exactly the same from a hardware standpoint, it just includes a universal connector on it with all pin outs, and a wiring harness. It's more expensive because it includes the harness.

Im interested depending on how low the price will get.
Converting to obd1 for my 98 going the hondata route is almost as much as the ems....and hondata isnt even standalone.

Hondata is as much a standalone as the EMS is. Hondata is still a great solution.. but I believe the EMS offers more for those that demand it.
