Default any downsides to oil filter relocation kit?

I got an oil filter relocation kit and i got it all installed. Its very nice quality, my only concern is the lines are super-long, like 5ft. each, they are -10an so they are really big but it just seems like there is so much extra line, and they use weird fittings on the end, not EARLS so i cant just cut the line, i would need to buy earls fittings for it if i did.

My question is, will all this extra hose be an issue? Its a closed system so i would think pressure is consistent throughout once pressure is reached. Also what should oil pressue be at idle? I got a oil psi gauge so when i start this up i wanna be able to tell if its normal psi or low.

Thanks for any insights

there was one guy on here that used one and he said his oil pressure gauge showed about 10 psi less oil pressure after he installed the relocation kit

yeah i picked up an rsx-s filter i heard u can gain like 5psi using it so im hoping that will offset it a lil.

What creates the drop tho, size of the lines or length? and what psi should i be lookin for at idle?

15 ft here. Oil pressure doesn't drop 10 psi,some...but not that much.

psi should be at least 15psi IMHO, mines like 21-22 at idle. When you beat on it, it will go down some as the oil thins out.

Per helms, 10psi @ idle, 50psi @ 3000rpms is the service limit.

Lines ran along the frame on the tranny side, the filter was also bolted to the frame up near the radiator.

I also had an oil cooler so thats why I had the extra lines.

Its REALLY HARD to see but in the bottom left corner above the rad resivoir you can see just a bit of the orange fram oil filter.

Here was where I mounted the oil cooler.
