I know some guys are gapping all the way down to 16-18 now. Is there any downfall to going TOO tight on a gap? Ive seen a lot of times people say start high and work your way down to what works.
Usually the most gap you can run without blowing out the spark the better. The only real thing I have seen sometimes, is a tight gap can give a little rough idle. Richening the mixture usually helps a little.

ok but why not just run oem ignition w/ a tighter gap to get rid of spark blow out?
