Normally I run a plug gap of .022-.024 on my turbo car. This helps keep the spark from getting blown out by the boost. I think the normal gap recommended on a stock car is .04-.05 or something like that. So you'll probably have to lightly tap on the plug to tighten yours up. This is also something your tuner should address. They should know your setup, and recommend a plug/heat range and the proper gap. The only real effect from closing your plug gap is that the car will be finicky on a cold start.

You don't have to gap the plugs down unless there are signs of spark blow out, or misfiring under load... It's a good practice, but totally depends on power level, the type of plug, condition of ignition system & components and so forth.

After regapping the plugs, it won't need a retune.. Although gapping it down a lot will affect idle and cruising ranges. General rule is gap them wide enough to allow good spark under cruising and idle, but low enough to prevent blow out or misfire.
