Well, the SC34 (rated at 545 peak hp at the crank) uses a 56mm diameter wheel on the compressor side with a 2.230" inducer and 2.950" exducer, which equates out to a 57 trim. The SC44 uses a larger 58mm wheel with a 2.290" inducer and the same exducer. That one difference gives the SC44 the ability to support 20-hp more than the SC34. Otherwise, everything else is the same.
As far as compressor maps go, Garrett considers this information to be proprietary information and these are not avalable to the general public. I don't agree with this, but that's a business decision they've made and we will have to honor that to remain a Performance Distributor. Outside of their downloadable catalog (which only has GT Technology), you won't find any authorized T-technology compressor maps from their distributors (remember, I said authorized . . .)
Compressor maps don't take into account what housings are being used anyway. Besides, we usually use our own castings anyway.
If you're looking at something in that horsepower range and are concerned about these specs, I'd look at the GT32E, which is rated at 520 peak hp at the crank. This has GT wheels on both ends with our T04E compressor cover and 5-bolt discharge exhaust housing. The turbine and compressor maps can be found on the downloadable catalog at http://www.turbobygarrett.com.
Hope this helps some.
