Any a/c experts on this board?
My high side reads 350 psi at idle and over 400 at 2-300 rpms, then the compressor shuts off, sometimes it blows the check valve. I have changed the compressor, condensor, expansion valve, dryer, evaporator and the high side line from the compressor to the condensor. I know it still seems like there is a restriction somewhere, but I can't figure it out. It is there any way to test each component individually? I am tired of just buying and swapping parts. I also had the system flushed, held on a vaccum and charged with 1.5lbs of 134a. I also checked my fan, it is comming on and blowing in the right direction.

Re: Any a/c experts on this board? (IntegraTypeR)
thanks for that thread, but I still don't know what to do next, i don't think its an airflow issue, but a blockage on the system, just can't figure out where.

has any part of the system been opened (cracked hose, leaks, etc)? if so the dryer has probably become soaked with moisture and needs to be replaced. it's an aluminum cylinder about the size of a soda can usually mounted near the washer resivior and power steering pump. you'll see metal lines running to it.
anytime your a/c system is opened due to service or leaks it should be replaced...you can get them at pepboys for $25. it has a pack in it that pulls moisture out of the system and prevents it from screwing up your system. it'll pull humidity out of the air if a line is disconnected. evacuating the system for a long period of time sometimes helps, but since they are so cheap just put one on and then vac down the system and then recharge.
