Anti-Lag base settings
Hey, I ahd a few questions about setting up anti-lag on crome gold, I am testing out a few features of gold, but Kind of apprehensive about this one.
Here is my setup:
Eagle/vitara D16Z6
DSM injectors
cast mani
garrett T3/T4 57 trim .63 a/r
2.5 inch dp to 3inch exhaust
Currently tuned by me on crome pro @ 15 psi.
I know anti lag isn't really necessary, but i would at least like to check it out, some time later this year i will hit up the track and want to see how als affects my times. The one this is I dont know what settings to start with as far as how many degrees to retard, and how much fuel to add. I hear people say 30 to 40 degrees retard, but i was wondering if anyone with als could give me some hints. on where to start.
Thanks

expieriment is what id say just dont get too anti lag happy, things tend to heat up pretty fast. Most people seem to run anwhere from 5 degrees btdc to injecting on the downstroke. Id say just see what values alow you to build boost and not get too aggressive with it.

Re: (quicksilver1689)
Well i got to mess with it a little bit last night, the whole thing is i was expecting it to work around 4000 or so but it really didn't do much till i brought it up to 5000k. I tried retarding 10 to 40 degrees, and fuel enrichment i went to 1500 (i think this is way too hight from what i read in pgmfi, but ill test it out.) i believe. Is there any maximum to how much fuel I can input with the 450's, i don't know how 1500 ms is related to duty cycle etc. but either way I got it to work, and made around 7 psi at a stand still. Not bad, now the only thing i need to figure out is why vtec doesn't work in crome gold?

Re: (cpl rampage)
i usually set my fuel anywhere from 20 to 150... depends on the injectors. as for timing i usually pull 30-35* to build boost off the line. the higher the rpm the better the boost will build. most setups i put to around 6-7K ( launching on slicks)

Re: (boosted k20)
yeah, i went and messed with it a bit on lunch break, but one thing i forgot to do that i read on pgmfi was to set the launch limit resume to something lower then 50, as far as how high to set it, yeah i had it at 5, i havent been really launching with it yet just because i have bald street tires on it right now, but when i get a better feel for it i will prolly up the limit. its just scarry reving that high since it is only a lil d series, not that i dont have faith in my engine building skills lol, but the top end is stock for now.
