Another Turbo Ls
I have a 91 civic hatch with a Ls and I am planning on getting a full greddy kit. I want a car that is very reliable ( motor is stock) so what boost should I run 6psi or 8.

if i had an LS turbo (which i plan on in the future...) i would hate only have 2psi, but tha'ts just me ... but yeah i am thinking of running 10psi just to be safe, AFAIK around 14 is the limit on stock internals.

Re: Another Turbo Ls (1RMDave)
I mean I plan on running 2psi when I am not racing or showing off. The question was what psi should I run when I am racing.

Re: Another Turbo Ls (hinds90)
I've heard that 8psi is good for daily driving. I have no idea how much boost the stock b18 internals can hold, mabe 10/12 psi.

lol!!!!!!! If you want to run NO boost!!!
For 2 psi with a greddy kit on an LS motor you drill a 1/16" hole 5.5" from the Throttle body.

HAHAHA...i love it, but i don't think this guy is goin to get all the sarcasm.
You obviously need to take the wastegate vaccum nipple off so it can bleed off to the atmosphere and you'll only boost like 2.4 PSI

Dude 2psi daily driven is honestly useless. 6-8psi daily driven is 100% fine for a stock motor. 10psi would be the limit I would take it even on a race day. (just my opinion because I like reliability more than a big whp number). But with tuning things are good to go. 2psi=not useful. Just tune it to like 8psi daily and 10 on race days and you will be fine.

im hitting 7psi with a 57trim .63 turbine at about 4700ish. are you running a boost controller to help with the spool time?

correct me if im wrong, but i dont think anyone makes a 2psi spring stock? most are set at 4 psi stock. that would mean DOWNGRADING just to run less boost. its your kti so i can tell you what to do, but if i were you id spend the money on making the car go faster, no slower...
good luck either way.
