Ok I just want to say that I have searched and have tried all of the search options on checking for smoking car.
My car is smoking real bad especially in the morning. I have a 01 GSR with t3t4 turbo. The turbo is brand new and I have done a leak down and compression test (perfect). I have taken the exhaust manifold off and there is some major black soot on the down pipe but it is not wet.
question: would the manifold/downpipe have to be hot to burn oil from the turbo oil line backing up?
I think it is def my valve seals but I want to make sure I need to go that route before I take off my head.
Also should I do any other prev maint when I take off my head. Besides the obvious water pump. Like valve guides, or springs ect...
Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance.
