alright so heres the update:

took off the valve cover and found that one of the nuts on the rocker arms had come off and another one was loose.. put that back on and started to do a vavle adjustment just for kicks.. now I wish i had pictures to explain this but the things u tighten the vavles down into well most of em shake when u touch em.. there are a few that a fit snug..

i dont think I have any bent valves but something is definitly messed up..
You mean the rocker arms? Well they will be loose unless the cam lobe is pressing against them... =P

Just do the valve adjustment. I'm sure your motor is fine!

EDIT: Ok, so I'm at least a little bit sure

Dustin

The intake and exhaust have both have different range feeler gauges that need to be used. I dont know them off hand, but if you have a manual for the LS it should say it in there.

BTW, I still have the head. If you find out that you need it just IM or email me...i was going to put the head up on ebay but i will keep it around a little longer till you find out what you want to do.

cool cool, I have a haynes manual and owners manual.. Ill look through those..

If it turns out there is more to it.. then i will have to decide between a bone stock LS head(yours) or going all out and going for a built head.. ill let u know for sure though soon..

I believe the intake valves should be 006-007 and the exhaust should be 007-008.
