Default Another Clutch question

i know. another clutch question. but all the searched results i found related to 250 to 300hp. which clutch do you guys think would be sufficent to support about 500-550hp? I prefer having a spring hub. I looked into twin plates but i dont want to shell out 1200 for a clutch. But if that is what im going to have to get then i guess that is what i will get but i want to know my other options. Im doing a major overhall right now on my motor and this hp is what i am gearing my goal towards. So hp is technically unknown.

Though 1200 for clutch is a lot I think its well worth it. Something you wont have to worry bout later on in the future. Twin disk usually last pretty long and when they wear out I think the replacement disk are pretty cheap. I went with a Exedy Twin myself and wouldnt trade it for anything elses, except maybe a carbon twin.

Damn, civics got the shaft by ACT. Don't they only make like a 490 ft lbs clutch for Honda/Acura? I know for the Evo's they have the 6pad discs that hold upto around 700.

If you do go with the twin plate, I know that it is probably going to chatter and make a good bit of noise.

it probably will chatter but i know that it is going to be smoother than a springless hub. i wont mind the twin plate. i just dont really want to fork out another 1200 after spending a grip on the motor. oh well tho.

While I have had bad luck with the RPS clutch and when I pull my tranny this weekend Im HOPING its the flywheel, RPS does make clutchs that hold like 500 lb/tq which will easily hold 500-550 whp.

And they are roughly like 400 through Marty T on HT.
