Shephard is alright but Team Rip does a lot better/cleaner work. Since we are talking about interesting evo builds check this one out. It's a long 46 pages but very interesting.

can't wait to ride in it

btw, he has a shepard transmission sitting at his house for when the stock tranny goes.

it's been gone for 3.5 months. The ride when he had 600+ scared the **** outta me. I just may **** and **** myself on this ride.

and yes they are trying to get as close to 900awhp on boost as possible. Then he's got methanol and a 100 shot to throw on top of it when needed.

My friends GT40R powered Eclipse GSX will spin Azenis in first gear and part way through second gear on low boost and about 500 AWHP on pump gas on the street. I'd guess this will have some traction issues, but not gonna be much compared to a FWD car.

That is insane power on all boost! When I was at Nopi Nationals at Norwalk about a month and a half ago their silver evo went 9.41!!! We need to start putting some of our power to the ground!

Call 1800-MidShip-Civic Hotline will be up soon . I charge $25 or obo to take evo's down.

no...but im talking about the bottom of the block breaking off...like from the mains down. Aluminum &lt;&lt; cast iron sleeves are a whole different discussion.

I saw it happen to darrel ***/Mopar/mike crawford. If you've paid attention you would've seen the carnage as well.

[quote] There are 800whp hondas on GT42R and c16. They just don't post up those dyno's.

there are 800 hp hondas on c16, but if this car was fwd it would definetly be over 1000hp and I don't think there are any hondas making 1000hp+ on c16 yet

yes premature

From Mohler...who was on the same team as crawford...

"Actually it was the block. Not the crank. The block is separating right at the top about inch down right about where the thinnest part in our cast iron blocks is located. It happened 28 passes (denver) and 28 passes later it happen again in Dallas. This past one being much more destructive. Thank GOD Mike walk away ok. A little dazed but he will be alright. I was really worried with this one as I never saw him get out of the car. Chrylser designed these blocks to hold 300HP at 6000 RPM. Not 1000+ @ 9500+ rpm. Darrell is always pushing the envelope when it comes to these motors. And without testing everything and anything on an engine dyno stuff like this is unfortunatley gonna happen. The majority of the fire was due to a nitrous line being severed."

While these number for the Mitsubishi world are really impressive, if you read NABR which is a highly technical 4g63 forum there are quite a bit of problems people run into with their bottom end above 600 whp.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

It doesen't take anything exotic, its quite simple actually. Also your a little off on your numbers. You can make 600whp on a stock 6 bolt from the factory. I even have a video of a 7 bolt making that much power. Trust me, I've seen Rau's motor and its anything but exotic. Its actually quite simple. PM me if you don't believe me and I'll proove it to you.

You sir are on crack. Its like anything, you find a good base to work with and you build from their. Shepard, Rau that talon grandma is driving to the store all run the same 6 bolt blocks.

What is it next, the cranks can't handle over 605whp? The heads don't flow well?

He said he seen them crack dont see why someone or something can't cause that to happen.

I bet you it will have poor memory, even some exotic cars at the power level start doing billet forged or EN30b cranks like the saleen s7.
