Default am i getting ripped???

okay, i took my car in to get my turbo piping done...this is what had to be done: install intercooler, run piping (i supplied the manderal bends), custom downpipe, make brackets for my civic radiator (my car is a DA integra, i need to cut and reweld the bottom brackets) and weld in and install the bov...they quoted me 400 bucks for everything. the price seems kinda high, but maybe its just me...am i getting ripped off?

Shop rate price, thats probably pretty close. I would have it done by a friend or just someone local that'll do it for $100 or less.

Hook up price or not. whoever is doing the work can easily charge you for a good few hours of labor for the custom work to be done. so at 80/hr, that's about 5 hours worth of work. dunno much about bracket fabrication, but sounds like a pain in the *** job to me. the intercooler and piping install should'nt cost that much. ask them to break down the 400$ quote.

With the $400 price quote, you might as well buy a welder and weld them yourselves.

$400 Midas your wleds will most likely look like ****.

First off why are you paying them to install your FMIC? Install BOV?

Look The only things they should be doing is welding your pipes together 2-3 welds, $30 tops, Weld flange on $20-$25, make a donwpipe $150 weld on the brackets, not sure but $400 WTF!!!!!!! and at that Midas, and at that you know them

I woudl have laughed and walked out.

$400 bucks isn't bad for a quality job. I can see you paying a $100 and all the welds look like boogers and then they end up cracking.

Yeah but $400 from midas

Tony charged me like $50 for 3 welds on my intercooler pipes, tabs on my intercooler, and a bov flange on. You can barely even notice there are welds on my piping
