almost $6000.... ???
after getting practical and adding things up, I'm questioning if I can afford to turbo my car. Can anyone come up with a much cheaper price on this or a different build that will still achieve 400whp pump for now, ability to do 600 in future????????
EMS (Hondata K-PRO) $1,150.00
Fuel Pump (Walbro 255Lph) $110.00
Injectors (RC 1000cc) $360.00
Regulator $250.00
Fuel Rail (AEM) $225.00
Turbo (Garrett GT35r) $1,250.00
Oil Lines $150.00
Exhaust (3" custom/Greddy TT) $1,000.00
Wastegate (Tial 38mm) $220.00
BOV (Tial 50mm) $220.00
Intercooler Kit (HKS) $900.00
.....$5800!!!?

I cant seem to find any real piping kits or anything that fit my car.. I would be very happy if people added up an alternative combo of parts to save me some money.

Just get an eBay kit.. lolz.
Seriously though, stuff is going to break and 5800 is going to be just the beginning. Boost isnt cheap

dont know if this is good advice or not but I thought I've read some guys on this site say that ebay is actually a decent place to find intercoolers and piping for cheap and yet they're still just as effective...

piece together something here is a run down of prices i see in the marketplace
1000's injectors for like $200 all the time
kteller 3" stainless is 260 plus a muffler for a 100 say $360
wastegate go for $150 all day
bov is about right or 150 175 for a used one
turbo is right on for a new one
intercooler-u can get a ebay for 150 or a precision one up here used for 350. i am sure u can find some one to make some piping for less than 600
buy a used rail and regulator and that should save another 100 bucks. now spend all that saved money on a really good tune.
now if have patience u can peice together these parts in used but good condition and have a extra 1300 bucks saved. for the bs that is going to come up when turboing a car

makes me wish I still had my talon though, lol... bolt on a turbo to Mitsu housing, add some fuel, tune and go!
...not really that easy obviously, but you get the point.

Re: almost $6000.... ??? (CTGrey06RSX-S)
Revised list:
EMS (Hondata K-PRO) $1,150.00 (not much you can do there)
Fuel Pump (Walbro 255Lph) $110.00
Injectors (RC 1000cc) $360.00
Regulator $170 (AEM)
Turbo (T3/T67 H.O.) $950
Oil Lines $150.00
Exhaust (3" custom/Greddy TT) $600.00
Wastegate (Tial 38mm) $220.00
BOV (Tial 50mm) $220.00
Intercooler Kit (Ebay) $300.00
=$4230
Not much cheaper but it's cheaper non the less. If you werent so greedy for 600whp it could be cheaper lol It could be $3800 if you opted for a 50 trim instead.
Like it was stated before it's going to be more expensive then you calculate always but hey thats the price you pay.
If your smart about your purchases you can get it down cheaper and still remain reliable. Not I didnt say cheap I said cheaper theres a diffrence. LOL.

Re: (vietjdmboi)
Your prices are WAY Off an youre forgetting stuff too.
To be honest 400whp-600whp kits COST MONEY. It takes built motors usually, lots of tuning, upgrade almost everything on the car.
HKS Intercooler are for SUPRAs, not HOndas. YOu can get a skunk2 Mega Power "R" 3in exhaust for $400-450. YOu can get IC and piping for $450-500.
My advice is start small, ive done alot of Greddy turbo RSXs that make 300whp at 10psi and drive daily. You can do that on stock clutch for awhile.
The greddy kit is a complete kit that comes with 95% of everything you need.
BUy KPRO
Buy injectors and you are set.

Man U FTW
-You probably wont need the fuel rail or regulator...the stock one will work fine more than likely
-Oil lines from Stealthmode can be found for less than $100
-You dont "need" a GT35r/BW S362 for your power goals
-That exhaust is REALLY expensive...you can get an all aluminum one for less
-The HKS intercooler kit is more expensive than a lot of the same quality stuff offered by many of the sponsors of the site
check The Sponsor's Marketplace for better pricing

i understand what both are.. but isnt an injector driver for vehicles using large 1600cc injectors?to get it to idle better. and a resistor box is for cars that are suppose to use saturated injectors?

Generally speaking, an injector driver is for anything 1200cc and over IIRC. They RSX may have a different fuel delivery system or ECU that requires a driver at a lower CC rating. I dont know for sure...that's just speculation

Re: almost $6000.... ??? (CTGrey06RSX-S)
what about....
boost gauge (i guess you don't need one to run but.......)
boost controller (could run off the wastegate but.........)
other gauges.
turbo downpipe (not sure if you included that)
wastegate downpipe
backup plan if motor blows so you don' t look like
