All your thoughs on using filter vs. wire screen for the turbo?
so let's hear it... i was wondering which one works best and is the safest? does it sound any different?
Why would you not want a filter for a non race-car ? You don't rebuild your motor every season, so why not use a filter.
Would you run a bone stock motor with an open throttle body ? Nope, aside from decreased performance, you would be ingesting dirt to the motor.... it's worse with a turbo motor as small problems will inevitably lead to it's demise.
Filter baby.... yeah...

From years of talking with owners of older British cars that used screen filters, I've developed the opinion that they're only good for keeping birds and mice out of your intake. Most stuff that does the real damage will go right through. On a street car, there's no real point in cutting engine life in half just to get the couple of hp you might gain.

yeah thats true...I'll definitely use a filter but I don't know where to get the pipe for it since i have a custom kit...doesn't summit sell one?
I have a question to add on to this, if you relocate the filter to a place where it will get cooler air like with the cai, will it see any change.
