i just purchased a b18c from a friend and it has a alaniz competition head job and i was wondering about running boost... i have my stock d16 boosted and didnt know because of compression if it was sdafe or not... it also has skunk2 stage 2 cams and i believe valves retainers and springs... please help out without flaming... or patch me to a link thanks guys... ps the motors goin in a 94 civic 4 door...

u can boost if of course.. but to handle lot of boost ur motor needs to be strong from the bottom end not head.

 

what if i just ran like 8lbs on a tune for now would that be safe ?

 

sorry guys bringing this back from the dead... just wondering if someone could mabe give me a parts list to build the bottom end i know im gonna need pistons and rods... also what compression thanks guys

 

you need to go 9:1 on the compression, rods, bearings, you could sleeve the block, or put in a block guard. Depends on what you want. I had my block built by http://www.jgenginedynamics.com. They gave me a great price and you can send your block to them and know that it is done right.
