Default air filter on turbo

is it possible to put an air filter directly on the inlet without any piping for it? i mean just clamp the filter right onto the turbo itself.

Yes, as long as you have space.

If I remember correctly someone did a little experiment a while back where they had a filter sitting right on the comp housing and measured iat's then piped the filter into the wheel well and measured iat's and there was no appreciable difference between the two. It was actuall a pretty spiffy setup to get it into the wheel well. Don't remember who did it though.
